Get Organized in the New Year

Ugh! One of the things I hate most is a disorganized space. Things everywhere and nothing being utilized. I tend to be a very organized person, but it doesn't help when my space is limited. I'm not as fortunate as others to have an entire room for my crafty stuff, but there are ways to take what you got and run with it!

I purchased this little organizer earlier in the year at Michaels on clearance. Its intended use is for your washi tape. I did a good job right? Ha!! Obviously things got carried away and I wasn't able to keep this organizational tool in its upkeep. It doesn't work for all washis and it truly was hard to remove. So with inspiration from Martha, who is @marthascreations on Instagram, I found a new use for this contraption.

So pretty right?! Granted I have A LOT more ribbon/trim than this in my stash, but these are my go tos. This idea won't work for all of your ribbon spools because of the size. If you're not planning to stack them on top of each other, then go for it!! I chose ones that could fit when stacked. Some I don't use very often, but with this set up, this will get me to use the ones I've been hoarding. My ultimate goal this year is to use what I have and stop buying everything I see people haul. Difficult when those clearance sales start flashing in your face. It's a start. I hope you find inspiration in this technique. If so, make sure your tag me on Instagram (@bbz_kraftz), and make sure you give Martha a shout out too because that's where I got this idea from myself!! Happy Organizing!

Happy New Year!!!

Goodbye 2019 and helllooooo 2020! So good to belong to a new decade (almost anyway) with new ventures ahead. Have you made a resolution this year? I never do, I like to make goals. What's the difference between the two?

In my eyes, a resolution is something you want to "resolve" in your life. Whereas I feel a goal is something you truly want to work towards in starting or completing. So yes, I make goals.

One of my biggest goals for 2020 is sharing what I love most doing, and that's my crafts. I decided to open up an Etsy shop. Yes, you read that right. With all the researching and YouTube watching, I finally got everything going. With the support of my husband and a few crafty friends, I decided to jump in the game.

My shop will mainly consist of stationary, journal type things, and accessories. Of course I'll post a few things for you to embellish your crafty projects, but I do want to reach an audience that's outside of the "craft community" as well. If i'm making a bunch of memory dex cards or paper embellishments, people will be like "tf is this for"? Not everyone speaks our crafty lingo, but will at least be interested in other things right?!

Here are a few things that will be starting out in my shop (and hopefully they won't be sitting there long). Trust me, I've tried this endeavor on Facebook. Not working out so well. It's hard not having a network of people to truly share your creativity. Now being in the craft community, I have an outlook and THEY'LL be able to share it all. There's always a reason to my craziness.

Being a stay at home mom (SAHM) and a student, student loans aren't going to pay themselves. Combining what I love to do and applying my business background, this will hopefully be a great way for me to not only establish myself, but make money as well.

Shop will officially open on New Year's Day (avoiding that 1st of the month fee of course) and I hope you'll sit back, relax, sip your coffee or tea and shop along.
